Audio Production
The Audio Production Division exposes students to the tools and techniques used to produce music in three applications of the recording studio: home recording, professional project studio, and the commercial facility. From recording and mixing techniques to software and computer editing/production, students will gain an in-depth knowledge of current technology and time-proven production methods. Emphasis is on artist development, ministry through sound technology, personal development of technical and conceptual skills for creating music, and innovation with entrepreneurial vision.
Students will also be regularly given recording project assignments and will assist in the production and completion of VISIBLE SCHOOL and Visible Media Group projects. Students work within the context of a community of young artists, experienced industry professionals, encouraging production specialists, and cutting-edge technology, utilizing hardware and software common to all three applications, from Garage Band to Logic Pro 7 and Digidesign’s Pro Tools.

The Visible School Studio Band has been working hard recording tunes in Studio A on campus. Students audition for the opportunity to get real life experience in the studio as a session player. Each week they chart out and rehearse a new song and lay it down in the studio the following week. Most of the songs are original compositions written buy students, alumni, and friends in the Visible Community. Be on the lookout for fresh new tunes being posted on the Audio Blog. |

All students learn within the "mini-industry" that exists at VISBLE SCHOOL. Contracts are exchanged, agreements are made, sessions are scheduled, and releases of new music are made to digital distribution. Students work in cross-departmental groups to produce relevant, fresh products for the church and industry. Beyond the Certificate year, students continue to hone production/mixing abilities, develop business skills, and work with others in a team environment to create new music for resident artists, ultimately earning a Bachelor's degree in Media Production. |
