VISIBLE SCHOOL Summer Tours Come to a Close
In Mid-August, two teams of VISIBLE SCHOOL students returned from a summer full of traveling and promoting at Christian music festivals all over the country. Unlike previous summer tours, however, these two teams had the opportunity to partner with two major presences at the festivals – Walden Media and WorshipTogether.com.
Walden Media, who brought The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe to life, is releasing Charlotte's Web this Christmas. The Walden summer promotional tour featured a 20-foot long fold out trailer, with 3 flat screen TVs and 2 Xbox stations inside, stations for prizes, and a photo booth all focused around the release of the movie. Three VISIBLE SCHOOL students, Jerod Wilson, Marco Barlow, and Josh Lester, were responsible for the set-up and daily operations of the booth, interacting with hundreds of people per day, and gaining unique and valuable experience. "This summer was so exciting," reported Marco Barlow. "I made a lot of connections with people in the music and media industry, and got to travel a ton. Plus, God was constantly revealing Himself to me, and challenging me through this experience. It was amazing."
Three other VISIBLE SCHOOL students, Anna Rudman, Erica Scialdone, and Bethany Jackson, had the opportunity to intern with WorshipTogether.com, a leading industry resource for churches and worship leaders. At each event, WorshipTogether.com had a venue that was set up specifically for training seminars and worship times. While managing the resource area and interacting with worship leaders from around the country, the VS interns also got the chance to spend time with prominent worship leaders and songwriters, including Brenton Brown and Vicky Beeching.
VISIBLE SCHOOL was thrilled to have such a prominent part in the success of these two partners this summer. The school's name and information was distributed to thousands of people, and was certainly established as a unique and stand alone leader in worship arts education. We look forward to working in the future with both Walden and WorshipTogether.com, and are grateful for such a successful summer tour. |
