Donate to Drumathon 5!

The VISIBLE SCHOOL 24hr Drumathon is BACK and is being held October 30-31, 2009. The festivities start at 10:00am in the Abbey and we are going for 24hrs straight!! That's right, we're going to be drumming for 24 hours in a row. And this year, you can tune in to watch all 24 hours on our live video feed! You can even request a song!

What is this for?
 So why are we doing this? First, we thought it'd be really cool to do. Second, we need to raise money so we can go to the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Indianapolis November 11-14.

Details
So you want details? Here are the details:

  • Open to the public, and broadcasting over the internet.
  • At least two limbs have to be in rhythm at all times
  • One 15 minute break every 3 hours
  • Must take a percussion instrument into the bathroom if not on the 15 minute break
  • We will not stop until the 24hrs is up

How Can You Help?
We can't do it alone so we need your help! We need to raise money for travel and conference fees/registration so all of our students can go. There are several ways you can give to Drumathon 2009.

Pay-To-Play returns where YOU can play along with the Drumathon drummers! For $1/minute donation you can bang away to your heart's content. Pay-To-Play is open to anyone at any age, so bring your kids and let them have a blast. How cool is that?

Be the DJ
Want to have the VISIBLE drummers play along to your favorite song? For just $2, you can request a special song during Drumathon and the drummers will play to it.

Not in Memphis?? You can follow the live feed and request a song over our Internet broadcast!

2009 Goal
 We're shooting to raise $7500 for this year's Drumathon! Any money raised that exceeds the amount needed for PASIC will go directly back into the VISIBLE SCHOOL percussion program to help pay for a new school drum kit!
